What is Sexual Health Essentials?
- A clinically led online sexual health teaching resource created by You Before Two
- 8 high quality, relevant, frank and fun secondary school lessons on sexual health
- A resource designed to help you teach difficult topics such as penile and vulval health, STIs, menstrual health, sexual consent and contraception
The resource is split into two courses:
- “Core Sexual Health Facts”: aimed at students in Year 9 upwards (age +13) and contains 5 lessons – see lesson outline below
- “Contraception Choices”: aimed at students in Year 11 upwards (age +15) and contains 3 lessons – see lesson outline below
Each lesson contains:
- A teacher preparation area including:
- the lesson plan
- a list of any additional resources and downloads needed
- keywords for the lesson
- A short video by Dr Sutton and Dr Foljambe from You Before Two
- Online teaching slides
- An initial and end-point assessment
Most lessons contain further help such as extension activities and sources of support.
PLUS: Each membership comes with “Guidance on how to teach Sexual Health Essentials” which is designed to ensure teachers are fully equipped and confident in delivering the courses.

About You Before Two
You Before Two was a UK charity founded by Dr Rebecca Foljambe.

- Lesson 1: Penis pressure
- Lesson Objectives:
- How to maintain penile health and hygiene
- How condoms are used
- How pressures and myths can affect a person’s feelings and expectations around sex
- Students will be able to:
- Describe features of penile health and the hygiene practices that support this
- Describe or demonstrate safe use of a condom
- Analyse why someone may experience ‘performance pressure’ and explain how this may affect them

We accept the following payment methods via FPA.org.uk:
- Debit/Credit Card
- PayPal (PayPal also offers a wider variety of cards, including American Express)
Invoices and purchase orders can be paid via:
- Bank transfer
- Debit/Credit Card

We do not take payments over the phone but we can email you a secure payment link that you can click on and enter your debit/credit card details.

- Email fpadirect@fpa.org.uk and tell us you’d like to pay the quote/invoice with a card via a secure link
- We will then email you a secure link so can you can pay via card
For orders over £50 you can pay via bank transfer - including BACS - just select 'Invoice' or 'Purchase Order' at the checkout. See image above.
You can generate a quote / invoice via the FPA.org.uk shop for any order over £50
- Simply add the items you want to your basket and select “invoice” at the checkout
- We will then email you the invoice
- The quote (including prices) will be valid for 60 days
- We reserve the right to cancel any quote/invoice not paid within 60 days
- If you select “invoice” then the payment will need to be made before any physical goods in your order are despatched
- Minimum order size: £50
- Credit: we reserve the right to run a “soft check” or credit check as needed - once credit has been approved we will despatch your order. This is typically within 2 working days
- Purchase order number: you will need to add a valid purchase order number
- Purchase orders are binding: if we process your order and send you your products / give you access to digital products, you will need to ensure payment is made
- Payment terms: strictly 30 days

This also ensures the VAT and shipping calculations are correct as well as being the quickest way to get your products.

- Digital products/memberships: please add a user email address to the PO. This will be the email address that has access to the online product/membership. The user will be required to log in to FPA.org.uk to access the digital product/membership
