Quiz time – answer 2 – Family Planning Association

Lesson 4: Sexual health check

Quiz time – answer 2

Question

  • Who can get an STI?

Answer

  • Anyone who is engaging in any kind of sexual activity can get an STI.
  • Some STIs can be present for weeks, months or years without the person knowing anything about it. It is very important not to blame or stigmatise STIs because it is often difficult to know who gave what to who.
  • Blame should not be the focus, because both people who have sex have a responsibility to look after their own sexual health.
