- Implants, IUDs and injections are all types of Long-Acting Reversible Contraception
- LARCs can be helpful as people don’t need to remember to take them every day
- Reminders should be set in a phone / diary to remind the person to go back to the sexual health clinic or GP surgery in time for their contraception to be renewed
- It’s also helpful to note down the last time the LARCs was last administered
- All of these forms of contraception are hormonal, except for the copper IUD which does not contain hormones
