SRH Essentials - for Practice Nurses

As a practice nurse you may find yourself giving contraceptive advice to patients without having had any formal training. This course, designed by the Faculty of Sexual & Reproductive Healthcare, hosted by FPA, will give you the skills and confidence to assess:

-When your patient is at risk of pregnancy

-What methods of contraception can be safely offered

-When your patient needs emergency contraception

-What methods of contracpetion can be safely offered

-When your patient is at risk of STIs

-What tests to offer and how to manage the consultation

This course is suitable for practice nurses who have recebntly moved into the role and who have little or no experience in SRH as well as those who have been working as practice nurses but have only undertaken a small amount of training in this area.
