Delivering sex and relationships education with confidence
This course is an advanced facilitation course for anyone working with young people outside of the school setting who wants to learn more about running group work sessions.
The course teaches participants how to plan, develop, deliver and evaluate sessions working within good practice guidelines.
Anyone wishing to attend this course must have completed the FPA course Sexual Health Starts Here or be able to show evidence of the equivalent.

Aim
To provide participants with the knowledge, skills and confidence to plan and deliver sex and relationships education (SRE).
Learning outcomes
- Identify, plan, deliver and evaluate an SRE session.
- Critically examine theoretical frameworks and models underpinning group work including anti-discriminatory practice.
- Deliver an SRE session with confidence, demonstrating knowledge of policy and legal frameworks.
- Gain a critical understanding of the relationship between child development, key stages, age appropriate content and SRE.
