Scotland, sex, law and policy

“Beyond my expectations, excellent and informative.”
Course participant, Shetland Youth Information Service

The Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act 2009 was implemented at the end of 2010.

This course aims to take the information contained within this act, and other areas of Scottish law, and make them accessible for anyone working with young people, adults and vulnerable adults.

The course will also look at the most recent Scottish guidance around sexual activity and young people. Along with this guidance the course addresses the development of organisational policies and how these can be best written to support staff and clients when working in sexual health.
