FPA and Aurion Learning resource for people with learning disabilities shortlisted for 2012 Peer Awards for Excellence

Aurion Learning and the sexual health charity FPA are proud to announce that their innovative All About Us interactive award winning CD-ROM and DVD-ROM has been shortlisted for another accolade – the 2012 Peer Awards.

Aurion Learning and FPA worked together to create this unique learning resource which is designed to be fun and easy to use.

All About Us aims to help the personal development and knowledge of people with learning disabilities around sex, sexuality and relationships. It provides a self-study learning tool that can be used by someone with learning disabilities on their own, or with support, to introduce key issues including understanding emotions, keeping safe, what it means to become an adult, and appropriate behaviour in public and private spaces. It has won the disability category in the Charity Awards 2010.

All About Us complements the delivery of sex and relationships education in the home, school, and other learning environments. It comes with British sign language interpreter option. Costing £19.99 it is available from the FPA online shop at www.fpa.org.uk.

The Peer Awards for Excellence celebrate accomplishments of real people making an impact at work and across the community. They reward businesses for consistently demonstrating high standards of corporate governance, social responsibility and employee engagement.

All About Us has been shortlisted in the 2012 Peer Awards in the Corporate Social Responsibility: Community category along with McDonalds, City & Guilds, Turner Broadcasting and The@OneAlliance.
