FPA welcomes new contraceptive method vaginal ring

22 January 2009

Reacting to the launch of the contraceptive vaginal ring Julie Bentley, Chief Executive, fpa said:

fpa warmly welcomes the launch of the new contraceptive method the vaginal ring. It is really exciting to be adding to the existing range of safe and effective contraceptives already available to women.

“It is important that new innovations continue to improve and enhance contraceptive choice for both women and men. By offering women more options they can choose the method that suits their lifestyle best. The vaginal ring is a good option, for example, for those women who like using a combined hormonal method, but do not want to take a pill every day.”
