fpa is delighted to announce that Natika H Halil has joined the country's leading sexual health charity as its new Director of Information Services.
Natika will oversee fpa's Information department which includes a national helpline and library. The department operates across the entire spectrum of sexual health and serves the British public and professional health fraternity.
Whether it is through the spoken word, the internet or print, Natika will be responsible for ensuring that people and professionals continue to receive the high quality sexual health information and advice they already rely on. She will also drive through fpa's ambition to deliver complex and often personal sexual health information across the entire spectrum of communication platforms. Representing the voice of the consumer at meetings with the many different professional bodies involved in sexual health is another of her key responsibilities.
Natika joins fpa from her previous position as the Head of Stroke Information Services at The Stroke Association. She brings a wealth of experience, gained from many years of working in the voluntary sector and an academic background in psychology and psychotherapy. Her expertise acquired from previous roles providing helpline and information services will be of enormous benefit to fpa.
Speaking on her appointment, Natika said: “I'm very proud to lead fpa's Information team. Issues on gender and equality have always enthused me so delivering them in a sexual health context is a truly unique opportunity. People turn to fpa because they know they can trust our information and advice. My objective is to take our information provision into new territories and tap into as many different groups and audiences as possible. This means everyone can benefit from the work we do.”
