Policy and lobbying
Key policy activities include:
- Lobbying for sex and relationships education which equips young people with the skills and knowledge they need.
- Achieving equal access to abortion for all women including access at all stages of gestation within the legal time limits.
- Lobbying to secure the same rights of access to abortion services for women in Northern Ireland.
- Campaigning for effective implementation of the White Paper Choosing Health in England.
- Campaigning for sufficient investment to implement Respect and Responsibility: A Strategy and Action Plan for Improving Sexual Health in Scotland.
- Working towards a climate of openness about sex and sexuality.
- Calling for high level campaigns to highlight the increase in HIV, chlamydia and other STIs.
- Lobbying for improved access to contraceptive services across the UK.
- Working with the Welsh Assembly to promote best practice as the HIV and Sexual Health Services Modernisation Project is implemented.
- Supporting the All-Party Parliamentary Pro-Choice and Sexual Health Group .
