sexual health direct is the helpline run by FPA. It provides:

  • confidential information and advice and a wide range of booklets on individual methods of contraception, common sexually transmitted infections, pregnancy choices, abortion and planning a pregnancy
  • details of contraception, sexual health and genitourinary medicine (GUM) clinics and sexual assault referral centres.

Man MOT – an online surgery for men

Man using a laptopFPA has partnered with Man MOT to help promote male sexual health. Man MOT is the UK’s first online surgery set up exclusively for men.

Qualified GPs are on hand every Monday from 6-10pm to answer your health questions. Specialist sexual health and relationship sessions are also available.

HEART Programme aims to help young people by giving advice on a number of issues, including healthy relationships. The website provides advice for both young people and parents.

Herpes Viruses Association provides information and advice on all aspects of genital herpes.

Human Fertilisation and Embryology Authority (HFEA) is the independent regulator to all UK clinics providing IVF, donor insemination or the storage of eggs, sperm or embryos. The HFEA also licenses and monitors all human embryo research being conducted in the UK.

Infertility Network UK provides support to those affected by infertility, as well as providing information, practical and emotional support.

International Planned Parenthood Federation (IPPF) offers facts and information from the International Planned Parenthood Federation which campaigns to improve worldwide sexual and reproductive health.

Jo's Cervical Cancer Trust is a charity dedicated to women, their families and friends affected by cervical abnormalities and cervical cancer. Their website has information about cervical screening, cervical abnormalities, treatments and cancer.

Likeitis is an interactive website for young people, from Marie Stopes. It gives young people access to information about all aspects of sex education and teenage life.

Male health gives advice on all aspects of men's health.

Margaret Pyke Centre runs training courses for professionals and carries out research funded by the Margaret Pyke Memorial Trust.

Marie Stopes International provides information for the public and professionals on services including contraception, sterilisation, abortion and health screening.

Medicine Guides provides information about individual medicines, including contraceptive methods.

Miscarriage Association produces leaflets, factsheets and audiotapes which answer the most commonly asked questions about pregnancy loss, and help people who have been through this experience.
