International action on sexual health

In 1994, the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD) took place in Cairo.

184 United Nations Member States, including the UK, agreed a Programme of Action for improving sexual health and reproductive rights across the world by 2015.

FPA has been monitoring the UK Government’s progress in achieving its commitments. Below are our reports on the progress made after ten and 15 years of the programme.

ICPD+10 report (2004)
