A recent Ofsted report found that sex and relationships education (SRE) isn’t taught consistently or early enough in schools, focuses too much on biology, and that teachers struggle with issues like embarrassment. Consequently many young people miss out on SRE which is a vital part of their education.

FPA has developed a set of four new, exciting twilight sessions for teachers which are delivered in school. Sessions are designed to cover four main areas to help with the SRE elements of a personal, social, health and economics (PSHE) education programme.

Each session is delivered to a group of up to 12 teachers by an experienced FPA trainer. We provide an information pack containing lesson plans which can be used straightaway in the classroom.

With different levels of information for primary and secondary schools these sessions are an essential element of any SRE training for teachers. There is also a programme of work for those working with young learning disabled people.
