In January 2009 Diane Abbott MP tabled a Motion in Parliament highlighting the fact that women in Northern Ireland are unable to access safe and legal abortion, unlike women in the rest of the UK. The Motion called for the Government to do something about the thousands of pounds women have to pay to travel to Britain to access abortion services because they cannot access these services on the NHS. Read the Motion and find out if your MP signed to show their support.

This motion is now closed – find out about the FPA Time for change campaign.
